Debian Conference is the annual Debian developers meeting, an event
filled with coding parties, discussions and workshops - all of them
highly technical in nature. Previous Debian Conferences have featured
speakers from around the world. They have also been beneficial for
developing key Debian software components, including the new Debian
Installer, and for improving Debian's internationalisation.
Development teams like debian-installer and debian-edu also have the
possibility of meeting beforehand for undisturbed collaborative work at
the Debian Camp.
Meanwhile, decision-makers interested in discovering the benefits of
Free Software and Debian users are invited to attend Debian Day on 24
July. This day will be open for broader public and the schedule
includes presentations of more general interest.
Debian Day kicks off DebConf, is free of charge and open for
everybody interested in Free Software. During this event, there will be
a full day of talks on several subjects such as free software in
government, design and free software, free software advocacy as well as
string of talks about the Debian project and operating system.
The submission of papers, presentations, discussion sessions and
tutorials for Debconf11 is open until 8 May 2011, 23:59 UTC. Further
information may be found on the Call for contributions page while the instructions for the registration process can be found under Registration page.
